Which bidon cage should I buy?
Hey guys i recently bought Camelbak podium 620ml and they're great but i need cages for them,so what you guys which one of these three would be the "best" pick?I was thinking maybe about the 2nd one but i have a feeling like it wouldn't "hug" the bottles nicely...but maybe i'm wrong too,so i need help which one to choose.

If we all liked the same bottle holders there would only be one bottle holder made.
I like the bottle holders that Specialized makes which is closer in design to choice 3 maybe 2. If you can't afford to throw them away if they don't work for you, then you need to be in a lower price category. Or beg friends for old stuff they have on the shelf and get some experience with them.

The cage in post #4 is my fave. I've got one pair with around 50k miles, and they still work exactly as when they were new. Look good, too.

Make sure it will hold a flippable bidon. That is the most important feature when deciding which one to get.

Bidons are not kept in cages. One is carried to you by a teammate. After you've had a few sips, you simply toss it by the side of the road.

Looks so simple and vintage, but still looks great, durable.I like the look.
What's a flippable bidon :/.
But we that aren't pro cyclists can still call it bidon..?
Why do they toss it?weight maybe?

#4b, the traditional King cage Shaped like the TA cages of the '70s that worked so well. Stainless steel or titanium. I have the SS cages on all my bikes except I still have one old TA and I use a different cage to carry sandals. Since rust will never touch them, I suspect they'll last maybe twice as long as the TAs and that is very long time. (They also do not drop bottles, even bottles put in very crooked or just partway.)

If you want to go environmentally friendly, avoid plastics as well.
For road, I favor a Wolf Tooth Morse Cage in titanium, as you can really tweek your bottle placement.
For offroad, I favor a Lezyne Power Cage, but you need the grip of a 14yo to get your bottle out!

If you are not using a carbonworks.de 8 gram carbon bottle cage you are fail incarnate.
BTW: They weigh less than advertised at 6.5 grams, but you'd want to source your own ti bolts as the included bolts are aluminum & easily broken with overtorque of an allen wrench.
Cheers!

I have $4 Giant cages from 2010. Cheap at the time and work just fine. 20 thousand miles on them without failure. All the things do is hold a water bottle. No magic involved.
