I’m 6’ 4” and I weigh 230 lbs. I usually ride 65cm frames and 36 spoke wheels.

I don't think it's your height really. I'm 5'10" and 200lbs. but I regularly load my backpack to ~40lb+. I've stopped worrying about it. You are well within the limits of all frame materials in wide use and even 32 spoke wheels will not be an issue.

Big & Tall

Thanks for pointing this out. I’m not sure I’m all that heavy for my size, but all of my wheels have always been 36 spoke. I don’t think I’ve ever owned 32 spoke wheels!
