Pics of my Miyata Six Ten build. Recommend fenders?

I was bummed about the fit of this sweet ride before I found the nubby stem on eBay. The twisty looking Sakae CR cranks are cool, but difficult to find good-looking chain rings for. I did my best to find 48/34 chain rings that would look good, and came up with these Black Spire units. The rims are polished CR18's - Rear from Handsome Cycles and the front from Velo Orange (they called it the "Diagonale" rim. I've had the single wheel for years). 8 Speeds in the rear; I'll probably grab a wider range cassette next, as I just used what I had on hand.

The tires are Kenda Happy Mediums in 35mm

The good old Brooks Professional and the amazing panniers top it off.

What fenders? Smooth black; hammered silver? Other? I can't decide

Hammered

I just posted pics of my Panasonic Touring Deluxe with VO hammered fenders yesterday, similar bike/colour

Ignore the rear fender line, I didn't have the proper attachment to attach it to the seat stay bridge but it sat above the tire fine.

You can never go wrong with silver, but im a fan of black or cream fenders on red bikes. If I went black though I'd probably swap the tires to be gum walls. Cool panniers.
