Countdown Complete. Next: Zoo

Any extra credit for the dog?

My able assistant was bought off by allowing her to pick the next mission. She would like to see a zoo.

I could go by the zoo tonight, but none of the beasts will be seen from outside, especially at this time of of the year and at night.

Mass quantities of extra credit for the dog.

Would an aquatic zoo (aquarium) count?

BTW, from yesterday. The only shot where you could see the red light we were waiting for. It's not often you see a deranged Easter Bunny on a tandem:

Several blocks earlier, waiting for an unseen red light:

Aww man, no zoo nearby. I could try to break in to the Duke Lemur Center, but I don't think they'd like that.

I gotta zoo not TOO far from me. But I would need to stick my bike in my car. I need to get a way to carry my bikes on my car. Then I could venture out more than just my subdivision......

Great pics for the last mission, both of you!!!

Another sit-out for me, as the two closest choices for zoo are an 84 mile round-trip with around 9,500ft of elevation, or a 147 mile round trip with ~4,400ft of elevation. I choose neither.

Next mission: A church or other house of worship. (Edited to say that a bicycle dealership, or bicycle repair shop does not count as a "house of worship." Neither does your own house. It must be a church, chapel, cathedral, synagogue, temple, mosque, etc.)

Partition the crab?

How about half a crab to a whole crab, in color or silhouette of any color. A hermit crab hanging out of a shell would be okay as well.

As long as regular people can tell it's a crab and not a lobster or crawfish pretending to be a crab.

One example here.

That is my ride.

Ha! I would not want to inquire as to what is a cookin' next door--even if I spoke the language, which I definitely do not.

Next mission: Picture of a couple kissing with your bike somehow in the photograph. Go!!!!

Yeah, the Vietnamese Cajuns around here add heapings of sugar to their crawfish. I can't stand sweet crawfish.

Other Cajuns, like my wife, do crawfish right. She makes a fantastic high end restaurant grade crawfish etouffee.

I now know I'm late for the crab mission, but I was in the area, and it's so absolutely bleak that it must be shared. That, and I'm skipping the next one. I refuse to even tacitly support PDAs.

It's been closed for a few years now (maybe 3?) and the building is just disintegrating. The roof is collapsing, the siding is falling off all around the structure.

Not visible due to glare, a hand-scrawled sign inside the door which reads, "SORRY, CRABBY BOB'S IS CLOSED 4-EVER."

I know what you mean, a little affection in public, no problem. But the displays that should take place in a private setting are bothersome, as in "go get a room ".

Best I could do. If the counts then:

Next bike mission, a sunset picture with your bike AND a tree silhouetted in the pic. To clarify, the bike and tree are dark with a sunset behind.

You lucky dog. I saw some videos of it in snow on the way north from Denver. What a sight! Glad you got to see it in person.

I thought I might catch it on its tour but I didn't make the time. Long drive for me from the southeast. Next year if I can.

My camera doesn't take great photos of sunsets, as this one was much more fiery than the picture shows.
NEXT MISSION: I would like to see your bike next to dogs playing at a dog park!

Lots of lucky dogs, including myself got up close to Big Boy 4014 at Wheatland Iowa on July 30th.
