Questions on Peugeot 1971 vintage worth
This is a 1971 Peugeot model u08 everything is original on the bike and it's in pristine condition including the original tires and the receipt of when the bike was purchased along with serial number and it was registered as well. There is not one rust mark on this bike.. has original air pump mounted on bike as well . Just want to get an idea of what this might be worth thinking of selling it...

Everything original means is going to need a full and complete service, not just a tune up. And where do you live? UO8 was essentially an entry level bike back in the day (I owned one). Original pump if it still works could be worth as much or more than the rest of the bike.
Tires do not last 50 years, nor do bearings and grease. Cottered cranks are somewhat a pain to service, and I have yet to have one from that era where the plastic front derailleur clamp was not cracked.
Could be $25, could be $125. So many factors. Not a collectors bike. Collectors want the top of the line models, which in the case of a Peugeot, would have been a PX10. Yours is the UO8 according to the title. UO8 has cottered crank, steel rims, low end frame, steel handlebars and steel seat post. They do upgrade well, but the cost to upgrade exceeds the value of the bike unless you have boxes full of French parts.

The UO8 can be considered as the workhorse of C&V Peugeot bikes.
it was never expensive or sophisticated, design and component-wise, but it was always a very solid bike that did its intended job very well.
Just like how Toyota Corollas had been, through the years.
So, in short, it is not a bike to look for any kind of significant resell value, any time, regardless of its condition, but really is just best as a trusty, old "keeper". Or something to just pass down to for use and not as a collector item.
Peugeot made lots and lots of UO8s. That, and them being built so robustly, means their supply in the C&V market should outlive most of us in this forum.
A UO8, even in mint condition, could only really expect to bring in about right below 200 bucks max. Most will sell for quite less.
