Thanks, it’s my one and only titanium frame. I have no idea who made it for William Lewis, only that it was made in the US. At the time I purchased it, I already had two aluminum and a steel QA. Bill calls me one day and tells me to come up and check out the new titanium frames. This was back in 1994/95. I took a look at them and thought they were very well made and the price was right, so I bought one with the special flip flop paint, took it home and promptly put it in storage until 2007/8 when I finally built it up with the 7800 DA group.

After 7800 series, I did not care for the styling and other than my BMC SLT01 with SRAM 10 speed Red group, I’ve moved on to 11 speed Campy - Athena, Record, SR.

We have a winner. Maybe the drugs helped, but he who shall not be named and won (and then didn't win) five TDFs loved the 7800. That little 2mm centering adjustment, the glorious finish, the shape, the stopping power...I love them. I think they transcend bike gear and approach art. Damn I love those 7800s!

Nah. If The Blob ever decided to be a bicycle component, then he'd choose to be a 7800 crank. The brakes--what's with all those angles? Whatever happened to smoothness? The cheapie plastic cable adjusters look like the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule. Was it really necessary to italicize the Dura Ace font? I guess the front derailleur is OK. Barely.

One thing you did get right: Drugs might help that group look better.
