Greetings from Reno NV
Hi , I'm Doug, live in Reno. I commuted on a franken Raleigh from 2003 till 2019. Have been building up a couple of new to me bikes recently. My favorite new to me is 59cm Motobecane Grand Record with 650b wheels,40mm tires barely fit and long reach center pulls from local bike project. Recently started riding dirt roads in the mountains near by, looking to update 80s ATB for that.

Welcome.
Sounds like you may be using Mechanics and C&V forums.
Glad to have another of similar interests join.
As a former Nevada resident, I can only comment that riding off-road is about the only safe place to ride in that state's cities.
And off-road outside the cities can be quite good.

Welcome.
I expect you're talking about the Reno Bike Project. I've visited a lot of bike co-ops around the country, and they're one of the best.
I was in Reno a few years back, purchased and built up a Trek 400 series at RBP, rode it around for a week or so including over Mt Rose Highway to Incline Village and back, then donated it back. Good times.

Use the "quote" button to quote a single post (like I did with yours). If you want to respond to several users in one post, you check the box marked multiquote on all but the last person to quote. Then press the Quote button and all other their posts are quoted in your reply.. Note the tags surrounding their post.
I see the LIKE button on the bottom right of the persons post. Don't you?
And Welcome from SoCal.
