How to install fabric-foam bar grips?
I know about the Grab-on Foam grips but this new-to-me bike has fabric foam grips. I "rolled" them off to change the stem. They don't want to roll back on. Any tricks for working with this stuff? I want to try to keep it! Thx!

Soak them, they'll slide right on and dry in place. That's how they got on there to begin with.

They look like SPENCO grips. I have a couple of bikes that have them installed. IIRC, I wetted them with water with a tiny bit of dish soap in it. Once installed, I rinsed as much of the soap out and let them dry. Sadly, the fabric part of grips on the top portion of the bar on one of those bikes started to disintegrate (after many years) and I finally had to cut them off and replace with foam bar tape .
The “bunching up” seen in the pic might have been due to “rolling” them off causing excess stretching of the material. It’s possible that they won’t shrink back to their original size.
