I had one just like that.

Great racers, for sure.

One thing that interests me on this Orange bike is the head angle. It looks a bit more relaxed than others I have seen of near vintage.
Anyone else observe that?

Ok, so it may be carbon fiber but it's still a Colnago! I have since put Campy Record 9 speed carbon fiber brifters, and front and rear derailleur's on it.

It was a beauty and unfortunately I had to sell as it was way too small. The proceeds funded my Zunow build so I guess I can't complain. Anyway, I believe it was a custom job as the original owners name was professionally engraved in the Cinelli stem. I believe I read somewhere that this was done on custom builds. Either way, some lucky owner out west in Washington has it now.

Those are the best cf frames I've ever ridden. I would find room in the stable for that bad boy if I had the loot!

Waaaaay back on page 2 or 3, DD (Jeff, thanks again for the post and pedals!) anticipated an update on my one and only Colnago. I have not had a chande to get a new set of pictures with the more period correct parts on the bike. It is a great ride and not as fine as a number of other museum level bikes on this thread (I almost want to repaint!), but it is nearly all original. This bike was sold originally in Boulder CO. I don't know the history but, I like it. The only updates would be to replace the Superissimo decals on the TT along with the Columbus decal that is nearly gone. Despite the others wanting to peel off, they will stay. I am still debating on touch up paint application as there is a certain patina associated with the scares of use. Anyway, here is the latest only picture.

I am big on patina. I don't know that I would change a thing. This right here, just as it is, is the sort of thing I dream about getting my hands on. It makes me lust and drool like pubescent idiot looking at pin-up girls.

@bici_mania - Thanks for the comment! If I didn't own it I still would say it is good looking bike, especially at this distance! Looks better near sunset! If you have a large monitor and high resolution, you can see some of the scratches and missing paint (back side of the fork near the crown).

My mid-80's Super 91, came to me from Ireland.

I'm not crazy about the paint job, that will be going over winter. It has Mavic hubs, a pantographed chain ring, but Mavic cranks, I have sourced a pair of Campy cranks already. Came with a horrid modern stem and bars, which I have replaced with those from my old bike. Note the side-on rear brake cable routing, I will look at putting that back to where it should be. Pretty much my dream bike.

Another '83.

I'll add better photos later. The sun disappeared after this first shot.

The 15 min ride I took today turned into ~2hrs. I love this bike.

Almost (hence, sneak peek). I'll have it in about 6wks when his sister and husband bring it up. Yes, most definately staying with tubulars. It's stone stock, rode very little.

Update on the above posted '77 Super. Received the bike July 5 and began a complete teardown and restore. After 3 weeks of cleaning, lubing, tuning and decals, here it is:
