Thanks. I agree, it's how the whole package is presented.
I have an in-law who has steadily slammed his stem over the last two years and now his drops are lower than the tops of his wheels. It really is off putting in the looks department; he also never uses the drops so it probably is affecting his ride over the long haul.

So is a kinder gentler HrN better than no HrN? I personally think so, but can see how it's debatable. I don't really care to see the debate played out here over and over and over. Time for another bike pic...

Don't get me wrong. If your mind holds certain standards that the bike doesn't meet, that's fine. Call it a "Not". And you can state why if you want. No one is suppressing you. But criticize respectfully and positively. If you can't do that, then you might want to keep it to yourself.

"Well, that bike sucks".
NO NO NO.
Watch how easily it can be transformed into something positive.

If it wasn't for a little more description than "hot" or "not" I wouldn't have been able to turn my bike into a freaking awesome thing. As long as it's constructive criticism, it's helpful. I, for one, appreciated it.
Anyway, here is the final result. That'll be my last post of it.

Not...
First, you gotta stage her correctly. Drive side, lose the bottles, and solid background, like a white garage door (though, I don't think your background is so crazy that we would ding your bike).
Lastly, it was not my intention to upset anyone, so in case I did, I shall leave you with this:

Disclaimer: the following is only my opinion.
Warm but not quite hot. It's only my opinion, but I think it would look killer with a brown leather saddle, brown grips, tan sidewall tires, and a brass bell. The current build is sensible, and I wouldn't be afraid to ride it.

That ol thing? Thanks WhyFi. It's 5 years old, or so. Many many Rando miles, and races, under it's belt. I think it's still a great crit bike, though I used it for the crappy races that are part dirt we have here, as well.
