Yeah seems like a lot of our gravel rides have a couple miles of "roads" like that lol.

I used to avoid some more adventurous routes because I couldn’t ride certain sections. My plan this year is to accept walking as part of the adventure and thus get in some more fun rides.

This one was a "lets go that way" kinda thing and it didn't look like that at the start but you get to a point and have to decide to turn around or keep going. It was on the map.
Sometimes we plan some rough stuff but not that rough more side by side/4x4 type of roads but clear, more like the last pic. Occasionally you run into something like that though even though it shows up on a map.

I do this as well, opens up many more routes. Sometimes walking is much much easier, no shame in walking

Another winter ride. Patuxent River trail, the ride home was very cold. Wind kicked up and drop temps quickly near sunset.
