c.1974 Allegro no. 76
c.1974 Allegro (probably no. 76 Schweizer Meister) F&F, NOW $75 SOLD plus shipping - INCLUDES ALL THE CHALLENGING BITS!
60 cm c-t; 59 cm TT; 44 cm chainstays, 42-in wheelbase, 54 mm trail, 72x72 angles; metric Reynolds 531 frame, forks & stays w/ Nervor steerer (NOTE: 26.6 mm seatpost diameter in metric 531 points to the lighter .9-.6-.9 walled tubing, rather than the 1.0-.7-1.0 used on PX-10s and Gitanes); Bocama 14/II lugs, Vagner PL fork crown, Campagnolo 1010 rear dropouts, Campagnolo fork ends; "diver's helmet" chainstay cable housing stop, Fischer sand-cast BB shell.
This bike appears to have started out as the "C" version of the model 76, based on the stack height of the steerer. The "A" version was full Campagnolo with the necessary steerer length for a Nuovo Record headset; the "B" variant came with a Stronglight V-4 headset (slightly shorter steerer tube than the Campagnolo-equipped variant), Stronglight 93 cranks, Weinmann 500 sidepulls and Campagnolo derailleurs with Nuovo Tipo hubs; the "C" variant (not pictured in catalogs, but mentioned briefly) took the Stronglight P3 headset (shorter stack height than the V-4) and came with meh parts - I've seen one photo out there with one equipped with Simplex derailleurs and Weinmann 500s.
Worried about metric and Swiss threaded parts? This sale includes what appears to be the stock Swiss-threaded Stronglight BB w/ 118 mm spindle for a double chainring set; 26.6 mm Zeus two-bolt Campagnolo-copy seatpost; combination of a Tange 26.4 mm crown lower/O.E.M. Motobecane (allegedly made by Stronglight) upper headset, which matches the stack height of the stock Stronglight P3 headset; the original seat post binder bolt (not clearly seen, but a unique identifier on Allegros, and I think also on some Mondias); and finally a set of Shimano Dura-Ace top tube cable clips. In addition, I will include a lovely reproduction Allegro headbadge that affixes with adhesive, which was a lovely gift from another forum member.

It's a lovely bike but just too big for me, and someone should be riding it. Rattle-canned black by a previous owner with my rattle-can touchups; included but unattached replacement headbadge, right rear dropout is very mildly tweaked but never affected its operation; one broken dropout adjuster screw. Allegro's geometry for their 531 racing bikes remained pretty much unchanged from the '30s until c.1975 or so. It glides nicely. I rode it with 27 x 1 1/4 tires, so there's a good bit of clearance for at least 622x32 if not larger.
I will remove the fork and bag the headset bits and label them for shipping to save expense.

A great deal on a really nice frame and extras
I have two Allegros and they are the Crown Jewels of my vintage collection. You can get the proper decals for a restoration from Greg Softley at Cyclomondo for this bike. I am happy to be a resource for anyone taking on this project.

decals still available, but it's an incomplete "set" and not exactly like what Greg S. is showing online for Allegro, currently.
Quite a deal for a truly fine Swiss frameset (and more!) which will be a stellar ride, and the lucky buyer can paint it any way they like!
