This is what I carry - I actually prefer ‘pour over’ coffee to French press so this is a simple solution. It is maybe a bit bulky but it’s light and does the job. But I do like the silicone coffee cone that cyccommute recommended above. That would work as well but fold up nicely

This is what I use. Space saver and works well.
When I feel like splurging on space I use an aeropress, gives you a fast delicious cup of joe.
