Just noticed the keystone outline inside the headbadge. Perhaps that is what "Bridgestone" once referred to.

My ‘89 KLEIN Pinnacle didn’t come with a headbadge; so it’s now sporting my avatar.

maybe gauche for C&V, but period-appropriate for a “Rad-era” MTB

I was gifted this yesterday from Jack Kane , long time bike shop owner of the Bicycle Shop.
He received it from a long time rider here in Jacksonville. He said when he got it he knew exactly who he was going to pass it on to.

Origin of the Bridgestone name

Early Bridgestone logo and a link to the Bridgestone blog discussing the origin of the name:
https://www.bridgestone.com/blog/2019082801.html

"Getting back to the mark… the keystone wedges that play a crucial role when building stone bridges are also sometimes referred to as bridge stones. This was the reason why, at the time of its founding, Bridgestone adopted a logo that was a wedge-shaped keystone adorned with “BS,” a shortened version of “Bridgestone.” Ishibashi noted how “BS” could also be a contraction of “best service,” which is a hallmark of the mission the company still bears today: Serving Society with Superior Quality."

1978 Eisentraut. It's kind of a zen thing.

A Condor 3-speed from Switzerland. This was taken when I first spotted it at the co-op, so now that it's in my garage I can get a closer-up if needed.

It is not.
I bought it from some guy in Spain on Etsy. Really nice, great communication, submitted a drawing before starting work, etc. I based it off another headbadge he made and had pictured- Dont remember what was changed besides the name.
$60 was totally worth it to me.

I don't trust cyanoacrylate for something that might see lots of vibration. Maybe use E6000. (Rubbery urethane stuff much like the stuff that sticks on old Trek head badges.)

Fun interview. The dude sounds like a cross between Richard Sachs and Pino Morroni.

From a newly acquired frame and after the removal of what seemed like several ounces of grease and dirt.
