Nice score on that Cinelli, Aaron - and you know what? After stripping, I could remove that "Crane" foolishness in about 2 hours. Tops. Think about it
Thanks to everyone that has posted their fantastic orange bikes! I never, ever get tired of seeing them - all of them

Final build of the 'too small for me' Motobecane Champion Team...
And a quick sneak peek at my current blasphemous project...
Handlebars are stand-ins for now, full detailed write up to come in it's own thread.

There is no way that orange is original. Too thick on the seat cluster. No chrome showing. No decals. If you do repaint, I was always very fond of the blood red they had, although i know you are partial to the mauve (salmon, whatever, ). I personally never cared for the silver. It's Cinelli's bellybutton color - everyone has one.
I do like the chrome on Cinellis. It will cost you a bit, but I think it is worth it in the long run.
Also, you can never spend too much on good tires.
carryon.

Iab - I bought the challenge roubaixs, 27c. I haven't used them before, but read good things. Options in a higher volume tubular are limited! Appreciate the restoration advice; I like the silver a lot, but the salmon really jumps at me. Chrome is just such crazy money, but never say never...and chrome and cinelli do go well together. I won't spend for the fenders, but some Italian fenders with cinelli decals should look good.

Took this photo right after bringing it home, the Trek 560 in my sig. It looks all sad and lonely, doesn't it? Well, it's better now, though I don't have pics to prove it.
. Drat, trying to upload from a phone is a barrl of suck. Well, clicky linky and you'll see a grimy orange Trek. Or use your imagination. Whatever.

The handlebar tape showed up the day after I took these pictures not quite orange but, perhaps, close enough...
