Addiction 2023.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yesterday was weird. It would start getting sunny then rain again. Later I thought it was done and then it rained pretty hard for a while. That's probably when those guys got drenched.
Today I took the mtb and headed north to some trails that are somewhat sheltered. Got pushed around on the way but it was nice back in the little canyons. Friendly people hiking and wide water crossings. Didn't want to get my feet wet so I didn't cross. Felt good to get out and hoping for a longish club ride tomorrow.

Stair lift is going to be tight, but it will fit. Might be installed as early as Tuesday. Still need to have my feeding tube removed.

Don’t know. I suspect in fewer than two weeks. Feeding tube removal is a big issue.

He doesn't look familiar. I haven't participated in the RB ride on a regular basis since I got back to riding a few years ago, so there's a lot of folks I don't know in that flock.

I didn't even know he did that ride. He's a true mountain goat. I did some rides with him years ago but he climbs way too fast for me. He does a lot of endurance type riding and usually with a ton of climbing. He used to post on BF.

Fresno is a fairly gritty city. Lots of agriculture stuff near by. Hot and humid in the summer. Best thing about Fresno is that it is close to Yosemite.
I grew up in farm country. I'll take farm smells over city noises every chance I can.
