I noticed that. Hoping it’s temporary.

As Seypat said, the wheels give some extra zip. It's the Ironman frame geometry that makes it such a stable feeling bike, despite how fast and responsive it can be.

yours is an early example- perhaps later the geometry became more aggressive- in my experience the later IM are quick (very quick) and nothing you want to take your hands off and cruise with.

Wanted to post some more photos of my IM Master. Mostly original - have the original pedals and Araya rims. I also have white hoods waiting in the wings.

From all I can find this has to be a very late 89 (maybe the last?) with the non-lugged frame. Even the serial number is a little different than others posted here - 89D2966.

Even have the Avenir bike stand.

My last "Ride Your Age" ride, 70@70 in 2017.
Ended up with 70km the first day, and enough distance to total up 70mi the next.
Wonderful distance bikes.

It is a 87, Only year of that color scheme. Centurion used Unicrown forks in on the Experts in 1987 the Master still had a sloping for and in 1988 both Master and Expert have unicrown
you can see in the picture the Purple and white one we call Purple Haze is a 1988 Master (unicrown) and the Seafoam and white is a 1987 Master.

So, bout a week or so ago I was up in the rafters and found the original fork to the bike - unicrown! I stand corrected!

Noticed this well-priced (for NYC area) small Expert (50?), with minimal useful info ("adjusts"!):

The page is back I was searching the other day and page was not showing.
https://www.vintage-centurion.com/mo...9_expert.shtml

A month ago, I got a frame with bb, fork and headset for 50 bucks - I believe size is 54cm. Expert '89.
I noticed the TT is like 51, 52 cm that is similar to my current bike on small side at 50cm.
The fork is not original one and is currently sitting idle in the garage
Thinking on moving the rear brake bridge some 5 mm up so I can fit a 700cx32.
