Early 1980s Suntour Ratchet Thumb Shifters

I have hoarded accumulated several sets of Suntour pre-index ratchet thumb shifters, as they seem to be the ultimate development in the evolution of shifters usable by opposable-thumb simians prior to the current Era of Clickety-Clicks. But I've wondered: what is the rough value of one of those pairs to someone who might be seeking them?

Photo as an example:

Thanks in advance for advice.

Especially the sold listings. More accurate.

That said, those are awesome.

+10 they sell every day on ebay. Ignore asking prices. Rust free? $50+ for a pair.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.

In one of those flashes of "you should have thought of that BEFORE hitting 'submit'", I'll concur with your collective wisdom & look at eBay sold listings. If I could ever bear to part with any of them...

Thanks.

I bought several NOS sets of these a few years ago. I still have around three or four sets of them in the parts bin. They're fantastic shifters. They should go pretty quick for around $30 to $40 a set.

There is no way I'd part with those for less than $50.00 plus shipping. They may not sell immediately, but they will sell. Rivendell has the Silver Shifter 2 with is arguably an improvement and they run $37.00 per piece. Microshift has a pair where you can change the rear shifter from indexed to friction and it does have the ratcheting feature. They're cheap, but they aren't vintage either.
