Dual 10 speed Record dual pivot brakes a thing?
Took these off my 2003 ex team Quickstep Time and while cleaning them I noticed for the first time that the rear was dual pivot as well.
As far as I know Record moved from dual to single pivot rears half way though the 9 speed era and these are not the same model as those early 9 speeds.
I know the D series brakes weren't popular with everyone and I assume the same goes for some pros. Did Campy maybe produce a small batch of these for them?
Unfortunately they're not in very good shape, with faded lettering and some tarnishing of the anodizing.

Perhaps a previous owner used two fronts and swapped in a different fixing bolt?

I think there was one year, year 2000 when 10 speed came out, where there were 10 speed dual pivot front and rear, differential brakes came out in 2001. So maybe whoever owned the bike previously decided that they preferred the dual pivot on both f and r.

I didn’t realize they went back to single pivot.
FWIW the Record group I bought in ‘99 or early 2000 had dual pivots.

I could've sworn they went back to single pivot rears halfway through the 9S era.
Bought the bike in early 2005 so whoever raced it hung on to them for a while.
Could make sense though because all the other 10S bits are in way better condition than the brakes.

In 2001 and 2002, Campagnolo offered Record with either Differential or standard (i.e. non-differential) brakesets. The standard Record brakeset wasn't discontinued until the 2003 model year. So, there were actually 3 years where you could get dual pivot front and rear calipers with Record 10 speed. If it's a 2003 team bicycle, there's a good probability that the rider decided to use his old, 2002 brakeset.

I've got a couple of sets of the dual/dual Record brakes on bikes. When braking during the winter, with the risk of frosty roads, I'm preferentially using the rear brake in non-critical just slowing-down situations, as if the rear wheel lets loose, less risk to life and limb.
I've got another Record dual-pivot brake that I'm converting to rear use, with a swap of the main mounting bolt. Takes about 20 minutes including cleaning and fine-tuning. I normally don't spend time on servicing rim brakes, but with the precision parts, titanium giblets, and 2 rows of teeny tiny thrust bearings, these Record brakes are truly special, and worth keeping alive.

The 2023 catalog shows dual pivot front and back.
