Cheers. I just found out I'm not really new - I must have signed up for bikeforums back in 2006 when I got my first bike - but I stopped coming here the last 16 years. Started commuting by bike again after the pandemic - our family is down to one car. I got a fixed gear for the heck of it, but am now really enjoying the simplicity, workout I get every day and the connection with the road. I love it. Came back here to learn from others who commute with a fixed gear as well.
