My gravel build

Hi guys!

As a result of the covid situation the winter commuting was canceled and decided to give my commuter bike a good renovation.

Spec:
Scott speedster S30 disc 2015
Aluminum frame
Aluminium/carbon fork
Shimano Tiagra r4700 2x10sp drivetrain
Shimano BR-R317 mechanical brakes

The bike had served me well since new and had been with me during many swedish winters. Now it was time to give it a makeover. New paint and partly new componenst. I decided to document the build in video.

So in the first step I stripped the frame from components and paint.

The next step was to paint the frame. So I made final preparations and then started with a 2K primer for aluminium and then carried on with multiple layers of different colors, finishing of with a gloss clear coat.

I'm now preparing for the final part, the assembly. I'm waiting for som final parts and will hopefully soon be able to post a video on that part as well.

I hope you like it and get som inspiration!

The build goes on. As I said I will use both new and already owned components to build the bike. Among the new I have a Shimano GRX 400 rear derailleur. So I did a unboxing video on the way. what’s your experience with the component and groupset?

I'm about to start my build and I'm a bit unsure about in which order I should assemble the parts to make it as efficient as possible. I have a quite good idea, but I would love to have some input?

Conditions:
Aluminum frame with short internal wiring where the housing is pulled through the frame.
1X drivetrain, mechanical
Mechanical disc brakes

I'M SO PROUD!

After hundr.... many hours in the workshop my home built gravel bike is finished and the final part of my youtube series is live! This has definitely got a taste for building my own bikes. Enjoy!
What do you think of the result?
