Same size on the 760 but takes a 2.5 mm allen. Look like replacement bolts.
M3 did the trick, I used a tap to clean up the threads and they fit just right. Thanks for the information!

1983 760 new paint

Just got my 1983 760 powdercoated to deal with some rust, also got a small dent fixed and new cable guides before painting. I upgraded most components previously, it has 2000-era Shimano 9-speed parts. Still a great ride! It was too difficult to find a powdercoat color to match the original, so I chose Illusion Copper Plus from Prismatic.

Nicely done! It screams out for that white tape/saddle.

Call me MISTER Procrastinator

I got my 760 (85) back from Groody Bros Restoration today. It goes to the shop tomorrow for headset and BB installation. I looked back through this thread and noticed I had opened my big trap and said I was going to do this two years ago TODAY. Pics soon, but I want to say I am happy with the PC that Mark applied.

This '84 built, probably '86 sold 760 (or 770? hard to tell since it's been rebuilt in the last few years--though it is sporting Superbe brakes) followed me home today. A couple of small nicks in the paint here and there, but I couldn't say no for $40:

Nice, and the price makes it twice as nice! I would be interested in hearing how the ride compares/contrasts to your Marinonis

She's almost done. We just need a shorter stem and some white tape (Im a masochist) and zoom zoom. Took it out for a quick ride yesterday that turned into 23 miles. The ride is what I remembered from three years ago which is the last time it was ridden.

Finally. Even though I used almost all parts from existing stockpile, way more $ was spent than I intended. However, I like how it turned out. Hope you do too!
