Introduction Time!
Hello there! Am I doing this intro just to help myself hit 10 posts? Absolutely. That being said, I’ll still do my best to take this seriously.
Username is Freakz because I didn’t want a bunch of numbers after my name and I thought it’d be funny. Am I regretting my choices? Only slightly.
Real name is Marina, I’m from the west coast and new to the online bicycle community. I grew up in my family’s bike shop and have been surrounded by bicycles most of my life. That being said, I’m no expert - especially when it comes to older bicycles - which is why I’m here.
Anyway, glad to meet you all!

Welcome @Freakz,
Join us in C&V.
Best learning comes from easy hands-on enjoyment. Satisfaction improved if associated with nostalgia.
We are good at answering questions about vintage bikes - lightweights get the most appreciation by volume of threads. YouTube is also a friendly resource, but maybe not specific with unique problems encountered.
Left is best, especially in Coasts.
San Diego, Santa Cruz, Portland and Seattle.
I migrated north over the decades, like the summer weather.

Hi 10 Wheels!
I have a 6 bikes total. 2 mtn bikes, a street bike, a tandem, and two older bikes I’m trying to learn more about and restore. What about you? Is your username indicative of how many bikes you have?

Hi Wildwood!
Thanks for the invite! I’ll check it out - I’ve mostly been using google and red dit to find answers but YouTube is a good idea too.
As the saying goes - west coast is the best coast!
Any idea why “red dit” was censored?

Coming from a bike shop background, you must have sealant running through your veins. Corny? HECK YA. Welcome to the insanity. Hope you have a thick skin or extra sealant.
