Blackburn rear rack
Aluminum Blackburn rear rack, perfect for a vintage tourer. It could use cleaning overall, but it’s solid.

Any idea if this is the correct rack for a 1985 Trek 620?

Sorry, I wouldn’t know the answer to that. I would assume that it’s vintage appropriate, but I’m sure there are versions that I’m unaware of… for example, “Blackburn” and “Jim Blackburn” on the top.

FYI your 620 probably has rack braze-ons near the top of the seat stays. This rack would work, but it would mount using the brake bolt. A bike like yours could take a seat-stay type rack (SS-1, etc), with either rods built into the rack, or adjustable stays/straps, that bolt to those braze-on eyelets.

This rack could probably be fit onto the 620 frame, but the original rack would have had two arms to anchor the rack on the seat stay braze-ons, while this one only has the single arm to anchor at the brake bridge. Some bending may be needed to achieve proper fit.
