First road ride in 3 weeks. Been riding the mountain bike and indoors during the week. Road 25 miles. Sunny and high forties. A little head wind half the ride.

Brrrr, I had to break out the long sleeves and full finger gloves today. Temps when I left around 60, LOL.... beautiful day though, was a little chilly when I was not in the sun. Got in 45 miles.

Next time either try turning aroun d half way and getting a tailwind or even better, just ride downwind the whole time. 22? You mental? Or a mentalist?

teleportation would be a convenient thing to circumvent such conditions! Mentally, It's just a certain kind of special.

6.5 "trainer miles" (25 minutes at 100 watts) at the gym. First ride since surgery. About a week ahead of schedule!

Mrs RSbob gave me an early ‘gift’ for Xmas, a whopping head cold. Miles these last 3 days are zero. Maybe in a couple more I will be on the trainer. Have snow now and a projected high in a couple of days of 21F

Am 80 miles short of 5000 for the year - I will get there…..

Cool in the low 40 F today so a mountain bike ride. 7.1 mile loop. Isn't that equal to 20 miles on the road. But did confirm running low pressure in the fork is not the way to go for plushness. 225 psi in my Tora set up for 60 mm travel keep the filling in place. 3rd ride with the PNW Coastal dropper suspension post. Fantastic at eliminating getting slammed going over hidden roots while sitting and cranking. If your not from a BMX background and stand a lot this is the way to go for a hard tail. Maybe I don't need a full suspension mountain bike. OR maybe I need one for smoother pedaling on the rough.

Cool and not bugs. poison ivy or sweat in the eyes.

it's all in your head, you'll be back at it shortly.

Hoping to slide in a ride before the snow drop happens. It'll be a warm 19F in the next few mornings, but I am determined to freeze my jewels off!

Reminds me of the time I went XCO skiing up a mountain with my girlfriend. Took three hours of tough climbing and was really sweaty at lunch. We had an hour ski down and wasn’t evidently wearing sufficient underroos for the low temps and lack of exertion on the way down. When I got to the car, I couldn’t feel my gentleman part until it started to thaw out and OMG, if you ever thought thawing out frozen fingers was painful, you don’t know what real pain is.

For Xmas that year she gave me a pair of thermally insulated briefs. What a gal.

thats nuts. It's tough to maintain that warmth balance in such event.

22 miles right before the wind kicked up. Supposed to dump some cold precip later, so I'll finish off the day on the trainer....

15.5 mile commute 40* n rain to work
15.5 mile return trip 2* n 20mph winds.
was warm for both trips. Found perfect base layer in momma’s dresser. Insulated nylons. They are warm and cheap
