Oh, I didn't think that at all, but I did recognize myself in your comment. No worries

I'm joking, of course. I don't know what Rob's issue with pictures is. I know a couple of times he seemed to get upset about people asking for them. I'm pretty sure the "you ask too many questions" listing was supposed to be humorous.

There's much more to this, but the Colnago saga is what finally sunk my boat when it comes to the OP.

Seems OP ends a lot of posts with "Rant over."
Fewer rants just might be a solution.
Call me crazy.

I have no dog in the OP's issues fight. I will say that getting away from whatever creates stress in your life is a good thing. On more than one occasion I have had talks with folks who were on an edge, and worked with them to get back to a safe place. In this case, if taking a break helps I am all for it. JMHO, Smiles, MH

At lunch today, after riding up that teeny little uphill called Yarnell, I mentioned this thread to my riding partner. His reaction: "So nothing's changed since rec.bicycles.*?"

As this is at two pages already, people didn't pay attention.
I don't know that there is really anyone here or any online venue I can't tolerate. And I imagine online at times I've been intolerable. My computer, tablet and phone have scroll features and I have a thick skin and or short memory so I can roll with the punches. I suggest others try the same.

In the world of Internet forums, I find this section to be one of the most civil ones. Sure, collectors have their opinions, that is to be expected. And they don't all agree. To be expected as well.

"when you hobby causes more stress than your job, time to find a new hobby."
well, I'm taking a 30 day break from all y'all.
Please note I've never once criticized anyone or their bikes. The one time I pointed out on a 1971 restoration that their FD had the safety lip, it was only because I was happy to trade one without the lip if it was important to them.
I've given away free stuff, postage paid, I've found deals for others and sometimes I've even offered sage advice.
Maybe Andy is right. In person, I'm more tolerable. On line, not so much. Whatever it is, I give up. Even my apologies are criticized.
If we meet in person, I will always have a fun bottle to share.
Please, don't respond to this.
Its one of those crazy sunny fall days when it feels much warmer out in the sun than the temp gauge suggests. Friends are watching the hound.
I'm going to go for a ride.

So it may be thirty days before Rob finds out the bottle carrier he so generously gifted me hasn’t arrived? It was likely lost in the mail, i.e. stolen by a postal employee.
Nothing of my doing, but I am sorry Rob. Thanks for the effort, though. ‘Twas a nice gesture.
…as for “go take a ride”. It always helps me.
I have hammered fenders on the bike that I entered to win the carrier. Seeing as how this may be where it started, gives me pause to wonder…If it were me you were upset with, perhaps over not sending a timely thanks. If so, that was due to it having never arrived.

I don't post often but I've learned quite a bit on this forum. It's by far the most civil internet forum out there. There are very few things worth getting upset about in this world and bicycles isn't one of them.
