Meet the cousins
She's the younger of the two, a 2000 Trek 6000 WSD. Purchased as a bare frame, she now sports Deore XT m750 brakes,& derailleurs Base level 9sp Deore brifters. the wheelset is a pair of Matrix Swami wheels with STX MC38a rear hub and an STX HB MC33 ft hub sourced from a totaled zx7000,.a RockShox Judy XC, The seat is an LBS jobbie that doesn't feel like a pinecone.
Nothing is original to what Trek built.
He's a Mt Tam in original right down to the reflecters and black spoke protector condition (except the few things I removed and retained, neck and seatpost) Seat is changed because time takes it's toll.
