Cape Cod Rail Trail C&V season opener

2020 didn't happen. 2021 VERY sparsely attended. Lets see if we can get back on track this year.
Saturday, April 17th. Dennis trailhead of the CCRT. C&V themed but all are welcome.
Hope to see the usual suspects and some new faces.

Oh I wish I could! Sometimes I really miss those good old days riding down along the coast to Plymouth and down the cape. If we were actually going to Ptown we’d often start in Plymouth ride out and then back by ferry. Great group of guys and great riding.

It's been pointed out to me that this is also Easter weekend this year. Open to shifting dates.

We'll be staying in West Dennis next week on Tuesday through Thursday and we're bringing (vintage) bikes. Doubt we'll be there in April however.

April 17 is also my birthday! However, I will need to ride my age, and this year it's an even 100K.

Yep, that's the one. Used to be Exit 9 off RT 6, don't recall what DOT re-numbered it as.

Neal, I had no idea you were turning 100. Consider my hat to be doffed.

I may be visiting family outside of Boston on Easter, so it's not inconceivable that I could make it this year. I will do my best to make it happen.

Interesting, sounds like a few of us have them, it’d look like a team ride! I’ll have to roll up my sleeves haha, it’s “work in progress” at the moment. Will be sure to share some pictures with you guys

Saturday April 16. Sharon and I are planning to be there with the tandem. We haven't ridden in a while, and I've just been riding indoors. So we won't be going fast.

I assume we intend to start at about 10AM. I didn't see a starting time posted above.

Not looking good for me. Was diagnosed with tendonitis of the iliotibial band a week or so after last fall's ride. Seeing the sports orthopedist on 4/6, until then instructed no running, riding or rowing. Cross country skiing is okay. If it snows I guess I'm good.

Cool-ish temps and foggy days last week, but I still got out 3 time for a pre-opener opener. Hopefully these will tempt you to hit the trail.

Are we still on for Saturday, April 16th? Meeting at and starting from the South Dennis Trailhead? What time?

I'm planning on attending and may overnight on the Cape or nearby to get an extra day of riding in around Yarmouth.
