Doordash food delivery
I've been doing doordash deliveries on bicycle recently. Also some Instacart.
It's mainly for the exercise and that food delivery is interesting and kind of a logistical challenge, especially on bicycle. It also helps not having to park a car.
I've thought about also getting an ebike. But for now I'm doing it with a bicycle and a backpack.
I only have two problems: pizzas and drinks.
How to do it? I don't have a rack on the bicycle. I would definitely put a rack on an ebike, but not a pedal bike.

Because no one has ever put a rack on a “pedal bike?”

A lot of the e-bikes I see already come with a rack installed on the back. If you aren't seeing them, you must be looking in the wrong section at the sexier and more aesthetically pleasing styles of bike more like a typical road bike. But for cargo and utility, that's not what you should be looking at.

My wife's ebike desperately calls out for a rack and doesn't have one. If it was easier to move the headlight I would make her one.
If I wanted to do food deliveries, I would definitely put a front porteur style rack on my bike. Depending on the bike, it's possible it will come off and go on in a few minutes once you get practiced at it.

So you've been making deliveries with your backpack and getting bad reviews and no tip when the pizza is all smooshed at one end of the box, the drinks are spilled, and everything is soggy? How many times did this happen before you decided you need a new method for carrying stuff?

Just tell them to put more of those tiny coffee tables in the box, problem solved.

A rack for my bike has always been the 1st or 2nd purchase after the bike itself. The rack came first until the late '70s, when helmets that looked like they offered real protection cam on the market. Like others, I don't understand why you don't think racks work on non-motorized bikes.
I can't see myself riding an e-bike, either, but if I needed a tool to help me earn money delivering things, an e-bike would be high on my list of want-to-buys.

In case of emergency, a pizza can be used as a wheel.

When the obvious solution (rack) is dismissed, where do you go?

Probably could get a lot of pizza's in one of these. Maybe even add some sort of heater to keep them hot!
