1967 Frejus Torino value - rough shape
I am about to pick up the subject bike (reserved for me). It has limited parts on it and the frame is in really rough shape. The price is right for just riding once it is built up correctly. I have many of the parts but may need to get couple more.
What I want to know is what the heck is the Torino in terms of the line up in 1967, top, bottom or middle. this may be too far gone for any preservation of Patina or its only value is with the Patina.
Frejus Torino (Tour de France) Bicycle Frame--Built-in late 1967. Purchased at Oscar Wastyn Cycles in Chicago in 1968 Frameset only. Some blemishes and rust--see photos Campagnolo fork and campy bottom bracket.

I've got one myself in better shape right now. I added some parts to it, no idea what I am going to do next. Much different fork crown, no chrome on head tube lugs or stays. For some reason I am thinking mine is a 1969.
As acquired.
As it sits right now with no chain. Why install a new chain if I am going to part it out instead. Wheels are Sunshine Pro Ams, look like Campy.

I saw that ad a few days ago. Glad somebody from BF is picking it up. Price seemed reasonable. Looks like it will be a fun project for you.
This looks like one of the higher level models, given the dropouts and the chrome on the front/rear. I would guess from the timeline you've mentioned it's Falck tubing. Dale's Classic Rendezvous site has a good selection of photos of bikes from a similar timeline. Generally agree with Juvela on value, but if much of the rust on the chrome and headset will come off, I would go higher. I like the headbadge and patina on the frame, and a nice Frejus/M headset alone is worth quite a bit. And are those Campy SR pedals (can't tell from the pic).

The son is selling for his dad who made a counteroffer that cannot be turned down which not only includes the original frames set only but now all the parts shown as well. The logistics to getting it need to be worked out.

@wrk101 - nice clean up! Smallish frame. Are those Universal Mod 61's? [MENTION=333224.
If I had yours, I would do an oxalic acid treatment, then polish and wax; and embrace the patina. My theory is that patina took > 50 years to be created, so I prefer patina bikes. Now I treat rust, as I consider it a threat to the chrome and the frame as well at some point. I treated the fork on mine, as the crown had some rust.
If you look at the top tube on the before picture on mine, you will notice a huge improvement. This was done with polishing compound. No touch up.

Many of us here are drawn to brands for no apparent reason. There are many Cinelli fans here, DeRosa, LeJeune, etc. They are all wonderful. But Frejus is one brand that has always whispered to me. Maybe some day I'll find one for sale locally in the right size for a reasonable price, but I'm not motivated to chasing after one. I'm content to ride and cherish the ones I do have.
I hope it turns out to be everything you hope for and that there are no hidden issues. Don't seem to be from the photos. Clean it, touch up what has to be, wax it and build it up. Enjoy the patina! Put some miles on her.
And most importantly, come back with more pics along the way!

This one looks to have full chrome under paint while it looks bad the chrome looks OK with major rust so it should clean up nice with great petina.

I should keep an eye out, about the correct size too.
