C & V pet peeves!!
For some, it's the reversal of brake pads.
For me, and what drives me nuts, is the handlebars tipped too far up. The bottom of the bar should be parallel with the ground, but I will allow a small angle, if you were to insert a skinny broom stick or dowel, no lower than the rear brake stay.

Ok, fine. If you've built up a city bike with a single ring, as long as it's all period correct. I hate seeing 80/90s mtb (or even worse roadbike) with a cheap BOX 1x kit.

Being a strong believer in tradition and race proven set ups - I live by the rules. And I love it. I also love to look down at (on?) people (and their bikes) who do not live by the rules. Sometimes I am also ironic. Within the rules of course...

I agree fully - The Flying Gate design is one of the ugliest around. Look at all that effort put in on detailing the lugs and the beautiful paint job. On a pig. Sorry if someone gets offended but that is a butt ugly frame design.

I think I remembered reading that the drop bar-ends should point at the rear axle...
Still, I deal with people in traffic every day with no regard for others. I'm just happy to see people riding bikes.

In days gone by, many saddles were too far back, today too far forward seems to be a "thing"
of note, I bought an American version of an Italian GC, near identical.
In by initial post purchase test ride, something was way off... turned out the saddle on the recent purchase was different, even slammed all the way back, it was 15mm too far forward.
Exchange that saddle for a Cinelli. All was redeemed.
There were other mechanical problems, shift cable housing for the Brakes! What were they thinking?
the Peeve, Splash tape. there must be a bike that it visually works on, I have not seen it yet.
