Rear suspension shock options...

Brand new to this forum...

So I'm building a custom all mountain bike for next summer.

I would like to have your inputs of what rear shock options are available besides the one I'm looking at.

It as to be available in a trunnion set up and a 205mm X 60mm sizing.

My choice right now is a Fox Factory Float X2 with the 2 position lever, Kashima coat.

I'm interested in your opinions (pros and cons).

TIA

I would stick with Fox Factory but I love Kashima coating and Fox makes a great product so I don't see a reason to swap it out. If I did want easy adjustment the Cane Creek DB Kitsuma is pretty neat on that front and in general I like what Cane Creek puts out and keep hearing great things about their suspension products but no real time with them.

This is Bikeforums and our membership skews very heavily to roadies. I'd go ask at MTBR or just do a search there.

Shocks aren't magic and a lot of the differentiation between them is gimmicks. But having a tune that matches your bike and your preference is a winning combo.
