Looking for a thread gauges set to cover vintage bikes

I'm looking for a thread gauge set that will identify the various threading's used on different vintage bikes.

I was wondering if some one could recommend a specific set? Thanks, Woody

Starrett, Mitutoyo and others make Metric and US thread gauge sets that cover most of the bases. I use these gauges, a flashlight, a dial vernier to measure the major and or minor diameters and a machinist handbook to ensure I get it right.

Not exactly answering your question about a specific gauge but this is a good read to determine threads. Trick measurement techniques for bicycle components (sheldonbrown.com)

Home Depot and Amazon have thread pitch gauges that measure both SAE and metric threads for $10 and up which are adequate for occasional use. Amazon sells various Mitutoyo and Starret sets for $30 up to $100 which are worth it if you use them a lot.

Just posted what I use on a different thread. It's not apparent, but they also have female threads.
