Trucks are the main reason I took a pay cut to come to the dark side. My body thanks me every day. I could feel my knees heading south, even with underhood creepers, and the like. The powers that be didn't discriminate on the heavy stuff, nor did they care about the tech that pulled the illuminated MIL ticket, until that tech hit the profit margin, and they then decided it needed to be fixed.

The MIL was my main job at the dealer. For most of the last 21 years any car with an engine light on came to me first. There was another guy who took some of them for some years but it was mostly me. If it needed to have the transmission torn down it would go to the transmission man but it was up to me to check it out and justify why it needed to go to someone else, for no pay, of course.

The last independent shop I worked at was probably in 1985, or so. The best one was a gas station in 1983. The owner had a great customer base, people seemed to trust him. 4 mechanics, lots of good equipment, parts room built on to the shop, always busy. Too bad I was a drunk and couldn't make it to work on time, or close to on time.

Regarding the fake meat, we have tried impossible burgers and beyond beef. I think the impossible product is a little more like the real meat.
That said, I have been veg for 30+ years and don't miss meat. So I have no interest in eating this stuff anyway, I just tried each a couple times.
I think they may make more sense for the newly veg or veg-curious types.

Before I was married, I was starting to head in the direction of vegetarianism. Once when I was first dating the woman would become my wife, I suggested a vegetarian restaurant - there was silence on the other end of the phone. I might as well have just told her I was bi-sexual. Finally she came back and suggested a place where you can get ribs.

I’ll sick with the real meat, thankyouverymuch. Moderate portions, of course.

I’m curious about whether the fake stuff popularity might nudge grass-fed prices down.

Suddenly classical music curious. So far, today, I've tried baroque, beethoven, stravinsky, and am currently listening to mozart. Frankly, I'm having trouble with all of it. Recommendations? Or is it just time that's required? Been R&B all my adult life.

NJ has closed all state and county parks.
Kitty should be released around noon tomorrow assuming all continues to go well.

Texas is closing all parks today. I'm sure they're packed right now.
Fingers still crossed for the kitty.

Man, I don't know. Mozart is pretty accessible. Have you tried the Bach Brandenberg concertos? They are a pretty fun listen and in no way incompatible with R & B.
