Has anyone ever married their bike?

Part FOO, Part General Cycling discussion.

You know how some, very few, will marry their cat or dog, or parrot.

We've heard those stories before. Now, has anyone ever tried to marry a bike?

It's an out there question, true. But, it is close to Hallowe'en

They may be fun to ride, but terrible partners. Sometimes they can get wheely, wheely cranky and chain you down. I knew one that always had a bottle or two on it, and was hard to handle at the bars. One got jealous once and tried to frame me. The whole relationship got derailed. I guess those are the brakes, but I don't want to be saddled with that again,

My brain hurts.

And it's still only October. Looks like it's going to be a long winter.

A very strange question, but considering some dudes actually make love to their vehicles tail pipes, I would say anything’s possible. Don’t believe me? Look it up. Better yet, don’t.

Probably more people marry steel bikes, because as we all know, “steel is real”.

There are other forums that cater to fantasies like this. But not here.
