The orange mustache bike looks very much like a Public.

I believe it is the sort of bike that Public replicates. The lock is not something widely available in USA therefore I guess the bike maybe a real euro bike.

Saw this bike with 26 x 4.00 tires at a shop in Golden, CO. Compare it with the 27 x 1.25 next to it. Oddly, the wide tire bike was called a "Spider", and had a spider design tread pattern.

HOT, I've seen similar here in Kyoto but it didn't have the groovy spider tyres.

Both remind me of this new model from Surly. 4.7" though! https://surlybikes.com/bikes/moonlander

My LBS had a Pugsley sitting on the sales floor last time I was in. Owner had had it for a while. I don't know why, though, as we don't have no beaches 'round these parts.

They both look to be very much in the correct range of angles, IMHO.

If it's a cable, is it really a downtube?

The bikes at my school... The Marin roadie is my friend Doni's. The Trek MTB (black) is my friend Jeremy's. The Trek 7.2fx (red) is my teacher's. The blue bike is MINE!

It's great that the racks are half filled up (could fit two bikes to a rack)! It means that a lot of people are riding. My teacher doesn't ride his bike to school every day, but me, Jeremy and Doni ride to school every day. Tomorrow, I will get a better picture of my friend's MTB and the Marin roadie. It is unlikely that my teacher will ride his 7.2fx to school tomorrow.

They were selling those here in Kyoto Puma and the whole frame was a green colour that glowed at night. The idea was that it's supposed to be folded and the cable used as the lock cable. the problem is if some ba5tard cuts your cable the bike is unrideable. Looked cool though.

In the olden days when I was at school, most students rode to school. No locks and our bikes didn't get stolen neither. ahhhh, the olden days.

Masuelli fixed gear six speed (2x3) bamboo bike

Sturmey Archer three speed fixed gear hub (no coasting)

Schluempfe is German for Smurf. Google it. Harris Cyclery no longer offers the Swiss Schlumpf planetary gear system. Change gears by hitting the button on the end of the crank spindle with your heel.

Is this a hybrid?

I suppose you probably could however... I would have to wonder about the potential for an impersonation issue...
