Seeking Campy Rear Track Hub Locknuts - 10X26tpi
Greetings. My oldest just started racing at our local velodrome which has prompted me to dust off and build back up my very old chrome Gitane track bike with Campy records parts.
I am currently stymied with trying to replace a Campy rear track hub lock nut. It is 10X26tpi. (Yes, its weird to be metric sized with english threading but that is what it is.)
Backing up, I actually have found a couple online sources but am not (yet) willing to pay over $40 per single nut. I do not care if I get genuine Campy or EAI nuts or something else - just that they work so I can use the hub, rim and tire I currently have (Campy/Velocity Elite/Tufo S3 Pro). World Class and Bikeman are out of stock.
Any sources or ideas? I am thinking about replacing the entire axle....(?)
Thanks.
David K

I am also going and try to post this question in the mechanic and/or vintage forums as well. Thanks. David K

Thank you. Got one from ebay (via Slowtwitch triathlon forum) and a line on 2 more from the Mechanic Forum on this site. It kills me to pay over $20 for a single nut but the hubs are just too nice to not be used. David K

Track Wheel Nuts from Velodrome Shop
Ben's has Campag nuts for $28

Cane Creek used to make track wheels; you could contact them to see if they have any residual nuts in stock.
Harris Cyclery has these nuts that might work 10 x 1 mm pitch

You might also want to check to see if Zeus or Ofmega might also be the same threading. They tended to copy Campagnolo on most of the parts.
