I have really lousy pavement around where I live and just love the comfort of this bike. It is so much nicer than my old Roubaix. Did my first century on it a couple of weeks ago. Hope you like yours just as much.

The cages are Specialized and the bottles are Polar insulated, which I got long before the bike. As far as what you should know, I'm not sure. The derailleur hangar bends very easily if you look at it sideways and there is a lot of toe overlap, if you're not used to that. It hasn't been a problem for me. And you've probably noticed the DT swiss rear hub is really loud when you freewheel. The tires that came on it are not all that durable. I had to replace the rear already and went to a GP5000, which is good so far.

Can't wait for this slick threadless conversion since it allows the original fork to be used.

I decided to go out over the weekend for my first outdoor ride since March when it promised to be cool and rainy (fewer crowds). Put to the test a slew of pre-Covid purchases: Fizik Artica R5 boots, Sportful Fiandre Light NoRain bib shorts, Dissent 133 gloves, Canyon Inflite Al SLX protected by Bontrager NCS full fenders rolling on 32mm GP5k tubeless tires.
They all performed flawlessly even when the rain turned torrential, except my not-recent Nashbar tights became the weakest link by soaking up enough water that an inch ended up pooled inside the Articas (good thing I was wearing wool socks), despite the leg cuffs being pulled over the boots.
So I decided to gamble by rolling the Castelli sizing dice, and ordered a pair of Nano Flex Pro 2 bib tights.
The only gear that I paid full price for were the Dissent gloves, and I was immensely pleased with them.

I'm 74 miles into the break-in period for the saddle, or my butt, whichever is actually going on with these tensioned leather saddles. Some saddle soreness, but less than I experienced with my Brooks, so so far so good.
