Not gonna list them all, but as of May 10 I'm at 176.7 miles for May. This comes after a catastrophically bad April where I got in fewer than half the rides I was planning on doing, for no good reason. I got my butt back in gear by the end of April and have so far started off May strong.

So: goal for May 400 miles
as of 5/10: 176.7

I'll be very happy for you, and looking at those miles, you're certainly doing your part out on the road. If it's matched by strong efforts in the kitchen you'll get your Clydesdale parole in no time.

I'll almost certainly never be out of Clydesdale territory. I was nearly out of Superclyde territory a couple of months back, then I was away from home for a couple of weeks and got back just in time for the virocolypse. I could have done better over the last six weeks, but I didn't, and it's pushed me a little further from the edge of Superclyde territory. It wasn't a consistently bad last six weeks, actually, it's just been a series of recurring disasters punctuated by individual days of good discipline (culinary and on the road). I've done pretty well for a couple weeks now, though, and hopefully in a month or two I'll be back where I was in March and then push down through the "lipid ceiling" that divides Clyde from SuperClyde, and never return to SuperClydesville. That's the plan anyway.

Roger that. After having ridden something like 8 times in the last 10 days I decided to take a bit of a break today to complete some maintenance that needed doing. The parts came in so I swapped my 50t front chainring for the 46t that I'm wanting to try out, got it installed, adjusted the FD to shift again with the smaller chainring, rewrapped the left handlebar after futzing with the Di2 cable, etc. I'm about to go do a short spin around the neighborhood just to test the new chainring, but today's more or less a rest day so I can hit it again tomorrow. And the most important thing I'll do for my body today is go to bed as soon after that little test spin as possible. That's one thing I've taken to heart: getting enough sleep is the third member of the exercise/food/sleep triad, all three parts of which have to be good in order for me to lose weight and get stronger. If any of those three are out, the effort is doomed.

Not much go go. I moved about 7 tons of steel today. I probably could have ridden more today but it would have come out of tomorrow’s miles. Still on track but, Just a little tired.
