Addiction 2023.2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Let your wife borrow your car? Are you nuts?

It may be necessary once in awhile, if for example, her car is in the shop.

Mrs. John won't even try. I offered when I had the S-10 Blazer and apparently one of her past boyfriends yelled at her during a lesson and that was the end of that.

My ex could drive anything. She drove a small tanker truck for work one time. Our dirt bike group had a reunion and I taught her to ride a motorcycle in a few minutes.

Our e-bike riding friends were without e-bikes today so they rode their old road bikes. She never needed the motor anyway but he has a heart issue. He said he has good days and bad days and today was a good day for him because he was climbing well and at one point I tried to drop him and he chased me down after a couple minutes.

We stopped at a Starbucks and I had some of their oatmeal and toward the end of the ride I got an upset stomach and felt crappy.

They sold their respective houses and put a big down payment on a new house in a quiet area. Now their payment is small and the house is big enough that they can stay out of each other's way.

I probably wouldn't have done it but it works for them.

Seems like racing up a mountain might not be an ideal activity for an ailed heart.

It wasn't on a mountain. It's his choice, if he felt like chasing me and felt like he would be ok, I don't see a problem.

Mayormente yo aprendí que después de 'después de' tenemos que utilizar el infinitivo. También, como componer una carta formál. Y con el frase 'espero que', utilizamos el subjuntivo.

I didn’t take my first shower of 2023 until March.

Vale.

If you go to Spain you will hear “vale” said frequently, translates to “ok” but I think less commonly used in Mexico. ¿No?
