Man. First time in a while coming home before sundown.
Got the replacement handlebars on.
I've got to say...I admire the little bend backwards on the bar. It fits just the right angle to optimize the fold...but is subtle enough that I never realized it was there previously.
Pretty exhausted, but glad to get that part done.
Now, I just need to figure out why my front fender stay hook isn't holding on. I think so it's simply bent out of place, but not sure how to bend it back.

sorry for the delay.
Yesterday and the day before was exhausting.
Today exhausted too.
On the plus side, I picked up a new front frame hook (just in case) and a light

The hook in practice is never in any perfect position, because the stay on which it sits is usually bent out of shape in one way or another. Here maybe you could bend the wire on which the hook sits, so that the bottom tip of the hook is lowered by a few millimeters.

So what happens when YOU hook it on the chainstay?

16" and 20" bikes are twitchy.

It's the reason 29'ers and other 700's are popular. Makes uneven roads and hazards more of an issue.
The weight of the electric drive is a further compounding variable.
I love foldies, but they do require different attentions.
Brommies were not designed for the electric's extra stress,
so a careful meticulous eval of the frame is in order. They are pretty robust, but not invulnerable,
and new bars are not expensive let alone on a $3K bike.
Careful inspection and care of battery should also be reviewed.
I hope you are on the mend and back up and rolling.

It hooks like normal. As soon as I lift the bike though, it sorta flexes and disconnects off the bike.
I will try to get the hook to angle down more.
I had thought maybe the hook's screw got loose, so took the front wheel off to check. However, it seems pretty tight.
On a side note, today my fiance's Brompton should get delivered to my place. Sorta excited.

There is a piece called the Brompton lower stop disc that avoid the rear triangle to unfold when the seatpost is inserted fully down.
This lower stop disc can and must be adjusted (with its nut+thread) to avoid a partial unfold that make the front wheel hook unhook.

Yup.
I've had my 2014 Brompton for a few years, but this is the first time I've had this issue.
Not sure if the wire support just got a little bent, or if it's the plastic thing.
That being said, I've been appreciating how all the tradeoffs of the bike were carefully chosen to minimize the compromises in the design.

In that case, a video might help. Just looking at the pictures, it looks a little bent but not enough to come off, unless the stay is flexing but even then, I would expect the clip to rotate into the fork which would prevent more rotation.
Also, as Jipe suggested, adjust the stop block if there is any play.
