I admit I’ve been guilty of feeding him as well as a couple of other trolls, but some of this is amusing. At some point he will probably get a warning which I don’t think will stop him. And if bans do go out, new accounts get made just as quickly. In fact I’d wager this guy has been banned before.
At any rate, I’m sure the moderators are aware of these and they will tend to them as they see fit. Moving posts like this to foo would probably not be a bad idea.

I have actually worn a Speedo on a bike, back in the 80s when I was into triathlon, and that's basically what we wore for all three phases. It's. . . not great. Still, I think I'd prefer it over cotton boxers. But YMMV.

Yes well that is a kind of weird group, its a club ride with a "leader" and goes very slow between hills. Ive gone back a few more times (with a helmet, frankly asking me to put on a shirt was laughable and a bad look for Alto Velo) but don't show up much because its a 30 mile round trip just to get to the ride and there are narrow twists descents which I think is silly with 75+ riders. The group rides I stick to now are more race oriented pelotons where there isn't a leader, I try to bring a helmet but if I don't have one and decide to ride with them anyways nobody tells me to go away. Ironically the ride that doesn't require a helmet is more dangerous and demands better bike handling than the club ride

Loose shorts or pants aren't bad, but I recommend (applicable for people with penises and testicles, I have no experience to offer people with vulvas) wearing tighter underpants (briefs or boxer briefs) underneath to keep you equipment from jiggling about and chafing. Also best to avoid pants with thick seams like jeans, especially for long rides. Cotton-based clothes, again, like jeans, are also less than ideal because cotton holds on to moisture with can cause a rash or worsen chafing. Pants with zippers (jeans again, sadly) can also cause significant discomfort if your crotchular parts and the zipper want to occupy the same space while pedalling.

If I am going for a 30 or 40 minute ride I wear whatever I have on. For longer rides I like some padded shorts.

I'm sure for people that are serious about cycling for fitness, competition, and even recreation, these kinds of questions are amusing since they've found cycling-specific clothing to be the only sensible thing to wear on their long, intense rides.
People can bicycle instead of taking a car, and it's often a good idea. If they had to change into a lycra super-hero suit to do it, that becomes a significant deterrent. People who commute by bicycle regularly can manage this by being prepared for their routine, but a person cycling for irregular everyday transportation doesn't necessarily want to commit to wearing a Lycra suit or trying to figure out how to change.
It is possible to wear casual non-cycling clothing and still ride a bike comfortably for more than six minutes.

For training, riding with my friends, riding far away, etc, it's always lycra, of course. It's just better. However, it doesn't make a lick of sense to get all dressed up to hop over to my office; that's also why I've got flat pedals on my commuting / gravel bike. However, I find that basically any clothes work well for up to a hour. Underpants which keep everything in it's place are a good idea, obviously, and very baggy stuff is... well, prone to bunching up.
