Trek Boone 9 seat mast

Hi,
Have a second hand trek boone 9 frame. Just wondering with the seatmast position, there is a max height indicator on the frame but need to take the seatmast right down to the point clise to it joining with the top tube. Is this OK as I can't see a minimum lower seatmast position. Or do I need to get a sorter seat mast ?

Thanks

Simon

Trek has offered different sized masts before. Do you have a Trek dealer near by you can work with? Andy
