Montagne used, worth it?
Anyone here got any experience with montagne 26 inch folders, I have a chance to pick one up for 75 bucks, good deal or no ?

Montagues are very decent bikes if in good condition, but they had several weak areas like the hinges. Like buying anything used at 1/10th of it's original price, you have to look at the state of the bike. The Paratrooper is a folding mountain bike, great for travel, but limited stiffness and rigidity made it not great for heavy trails.
Check for fractures and cracks, and all the other safety issues in the frame, especially in the hinges.

I would add that at best it saves some space in a bedroom. Beyond that it's still a pretty big package for a folding bike, so only buy if it looks in decent shape and you think it's kinda cool.

Its indeed a big package not much smaller than a dismounted MTB with the drawbacks of high weight, less stiffness...
Its much bigger than smaller wheels folding bikes.
So, its use is limited to people who need to fold often (if it is to travel once in a while, a normal MTB dismounted to carry it is better) and can accept this bigger package.
This is the reason why these big wheels folding bikes are much less popular than small wheels folding bikes.
The more recent Change bike similar to the Montague but with several advantages compared to the Montague is probably a better choice.
