fantasy criterium du dauphine time!
hay everybody...the big tour de france warmup race is here. imo...the hardest stage race of the year to read-criterium du dauphine. great riders engaging in feints and shadow boxing as to their true tdf form. will they/won't they go all out on a particular stage. super-domestiques occasionally let off the leash for the overall.
great race to (re)familiarize yourself with up and comers & ones you forgot about.

league code: 01210133
deadline is early sunday june 4th! good luck!

There's no cutoff for that. The beatdowns will continue until morale improves.
Good to see the usual suspects again. Perhaps a few more will trickle into the league. It seems we have a good bit of diversity in our picks so we might have some ups and downs as the race explodes.
I have a great feeling about this one. At least for another couple of hours!

^ Famous last words. De Gendt can hold that jersey for a while. At least no one else in our league picked him.
In my quick pick I managed to put a non-starter on my roster. Good job, me! Probably just as well, you guys might need the help. Ha ha ha.

My coin flips were between Valverde & Bardet, and a churn of the 8-10-12 pointers around Coquard-Brambilia-Kwiatkowski-Colbrelli-Talansky(cursed every time I pick him)-Roche-Kreuziger-Richeze. I saw De Gendt there for a bargain 6, almost used him to stretch the budget a bit knowing he'd be good for some mountain and breakaway points, never thought the bunch would let him get away with a stage win.
Good for De Gendt, he's a scrapper. Great to see.

I dunno about that. Gallo's 0 in stage 1 -- with all the assist and breakaway and misc points flying around, that is HARD TO DO. Any relation to the esteemed attorney Jerry Gallo? Or is that Callo?

^ even a blind hedgehog finds an acorn every now and then.
Good lord, this race is proving to be a wacky one. Omniscient words in the original post about it being tough to pick.

Yes, but as with investments, past performance is not an indicator of future success.

we are engaged in a really
important affair here.
your "win" may have relegated you to walk the earth loveless and forlorn henceforth, much like caine from kung fu.

as for the race so far...to quote for the movie butch cassidy and the sundance kid, "who are those guys?!"

Do you prefer Lantern Rouge or Maglia Nera?
Thank God for Talansky and his 11 points. (oh, the irony)

Well we're all doing lousy. ooga-booga, you're the only one doing something spectacular.
At the moment I'm the cream of the crap here, 1st place in our league but still bottom 50% of the general population. Nothing to write home about.
Own your glory! If you're lucky, Talansky & Co. won't let you down (i.e., they WILL let you down).

Way to hang in there, buddy!
Gallo, don't sand bag on us, the way you passed ooga-booga like he was standing still might wind up in the text book next to momentum.
I've already picked a team of winners for TdeSuisse. The only question left is who are they going to be beating upon.
