That plan worked out pretty well for F1 motor sport and now pro cycling

I have aerospace material in my left hand working as an artificial tendon since 1983 and without it I would have only a meat club.
I can still play a musical instrument because of that aerospace material.

Modern philistines will cling to their beliefs like starch on rice, eh?

...and a really long list of other sports and activities. My daughter's softball bat is make of "aerospace material". Hell, so is the case on my iPhone. Today, CF is not new, special, or mysterious. It's a fantastic material for a tremendous variety of applications.

Steel, aluminum, titanium, or carbon fiber?

I regularly stop on the way home at the 15th Tee of Bethpage Black... there's a water fountain, trash can and bench. in a conversation with one of the golfers he mentioned that his set of golf clubs cost more than a bicycle since the clubs have carbon fiber shafts. I told him my bike mostly carbon fiber and told him to pick it up.... it was amazed. Also surprised that the bike cost a lot more than his clubs.

BTW....

https://www.fox5ny.com/news/suffolk-...police-officer
"He dons his uniform and you’d never know underneath it he has two carbon fiber prosthetic legs. That’s because prior to serving his community, Officer Ferreira, a lance corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps. proudly served his country. Months after his first deployment to Afghanistan in 2011, he stepped on a 30-lb explosive device. The impact shattered his legs below the knees and broke his pelvis. "

So now we are making our heroes out of aerospace materials. What are the implications?
