1970s Raleigh parts

Where do you guys and gals find or ask for old Raleigh parts? I have a 1976 Colt with what seems to be an odd ball bottom bracket spindle. The length at 140mm (5 1/2") seems to be the deal breaker. I've tried local shops and sources, but despite used and NOS, they're all too short . My best candidate to date (134mm), places the chain ring to close to the left chain stay. The old spindle is stamped Y-3

Wow.

Negative Q-factor.

(a freewheel spacer under the fixed cup will move the whole assembly over, but you must check if the non-drive side clears.)

I thought of that too. As it is now, there's barely 2 threads for the jam nut on the adjustable side. I suppose a work around would be thread locker and move it over., but I'll wait for now

I might have a spindle to suit your needs. Give me a couple of days to find it and measure it.

EDIT: it's 5 3/4" (146mm). Probably wouldn't help you, but if you'd like it, PM me.
