Campagnolo 8 speed Ergo power shifter repair service

Hi,

I have a Campy 8 speed ergo power shifter that the "return" is not working.

On another thread was told probably need the 2 Return springs ( one large, one small ) and carrier ring. The large I guess might be missing I was told ( pdlamb) here on this great forum .

Wondering where I should send it for service?

Branford was suggested. Has anyone had experience using them ?

The bike shops around here, even a Campy expert, sends things like this out for repair.

I might have attempted on my own, but my eyes are not that great doing close work.

The 60s can be challenging at times 🙂

Really appreciate the time , help, knowledge

Thank you

I have gotten parts in the past from Branford I could not find anywhere else, but that was a while back and I don't think they have pre-1998 parts any longer. Try a search of "Campagnolo Code Shop" and put in your location and they will help with shops in your area that they say have " extremely high level of competence, able to provide active support for the brand with after-sales assistance." Good luck.

Do you frequent the Paceline forums? There is a guy there Old Potato, lives in Boulder, who repairs these. It’s a bit of a process to get registered there. If you like send me a PM and I can get you his contact info.

My eyes are pretty good, but some of the stuff that comes across my workbench is ridiculously tiny, like smartphone guts. The only way I could see what I was doing was to use a magnifier app on my phone and a tripod.
