Has period correct Jim Blackburn rear rack and very nice Avocet touring saddle.
The bike was refurbished, all new cables installed, tuned, lubed: derailleurs and
brakes adjusted and new Cenelli cork cushioned bar tape installed.
This touring bike has triple-butted splined Chromoly frame tubing that was manufactured with the same technique as the piping used for guns. It was bored out lengthwise using a round steel rod. This produced a very unusual quality tubing for use in bicycles. This bike is slightly lighter in weight than Trek 520/720 touring bikes, but of similar quality. The Miyata 610 was considered one of the finest, lightest off-the-shelf touring bikes of its time, with splined, triple-butted chromoly tubing. The 610 is flexible yet stiff to provide a competent platform for loaded touring, but it’s just as adept at comfortably wandering the backroads on a Sunday afternoon.

Old Cilo branded Vitus aluminum frame set for sale. This was in an attic for probably 10-15 years. Cilo decals are flaking off, plenty of scratches. No visible cracks. I misplaced my crank removal tool so you get the Shimano 105 crankset as well. BB feels a little crunchy. No headset included.
Seat tube measures 21” from center of BB to intersection of top tube and top tube is 21” from center of tube to intersection with head tube so let’s call this a 54 cm frame.
Happy to meet up within 10 miles or so.
