Relatively local—he drove up from RI.

2 weeks without an update or answer from Handsome despite emails. I’ve just emailed again. Honestly the experience has been really poor and I’m frustrated by handsome keep ignoring me. I’ve been reasonable.

The conversation has been helpful.

•I’ve a couple stems waiting on the side to choose between that may prevent the bar from hitting the top tube if it can’t be adjusted out on mine. And leather and waxed hemp and artificial
sinew if they won’t resolve it.

•I appreciate the link to the brake adjustment. This will be my first bike with this brake type.

•the sticker talk gave me
the idea to (maybe) pinstripe purple
over the red/green which I feel looks great on the pearl
and fine on the orange, but trends toward clashing with the purple.

•glad to read others don’t mind orange with purple…
(also waiting on the side)

I just scored a deal on a C17 yesterday. $80 on amazon. Love my B17 but for $80 will put it on another bike. What stems do you have? been looking for a deal on a Nitto seat post but no luck yet.

installed a tektro brake cross over hanger. if nothing else it looks better than the little crapola one they come with. I wish someone who ordered just the frame set would chime in. I would love to know what the frame set really weighs. I look at the sum of the parts and this bike should not be pushing 30lbs. The brooks saddle adds just under 6 ounces vs the saddle it comes with so that is not it. I know I can trim that amount with different seat post. but still a heavy bike not sure it would even be possible to get it down under 26lbs changing the easy things.

What does the wheelset weigh with those tires and that giant OEM-grade cassette? All that looks beefy.

they are pretty heavy. I have not weighed them but my old 1990's mavic 231 with xt hubs are much lighter. the cassette is just under 16 ounces.

so I added up the parts of the wheels and tires and somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 lbs so pretty heavy. I really think he frame and fork has to be heavier than 6.8lbs

Just a data point - but my notes say that my 2012 60cm frame is 4.96lbs (frame only; I guess I never weighed the fork).
Update - Weighed the whole bike at 26.74lbs as pictured above with the empty Caradice Barley bag (~1.3lbs) so just about 25.5lbs for the bike.

Well handsome has ignored all of my emails for the last week. Pretty fed up with them at this point.

have you tried calling or instant messaging them? I think you are at the point where a call and request for your money back might be your best option from this point forward. What have they said in their emails when they have gotten back to you?

what kind of timeline did they give you? with the crap that heytchap has been going through I would be curious what they told you as far as delivery goes.

Around a ten day or two week time between the placing and building of my order was mentioned when I emailed them to provide a second contact number. I think that put it at late this week, with last week having the holiday.

We heard back in a day or so when we sent that second contact email.

Being a latecomer to it, I’m just going with the flow, and see it is a neat project coming to it’s fruition-glad to have gotten in on it.

Sorry jadmt, your quote didn’t attach, my bad.

My first ten speed was on 26” wheels, but that was ’71 maybe. This’ll be a little different.

I’m not worried about the wait, and expect it’ll be well worth it. I hope the same for you others. I knew the potential was there as they work to get out the project’s frames and start all the full builds, as new orders come in.

These are my extra quill stems. I don't see any of them helping much. There is also a 60mm reach, -12° SR.
